Volnar

A sorceror on Loth.

At one time Volnar lived with his pet mondal in Perenthines. Volnar was dishonest and paid for goods with artificial gold. He was a most successful sorcerer "until the deplorable case of the fishwife whose hair all fell out and took root in the ground before her house." When the local people turned against Volnar, he escaped and resettled in the city of Zo. There he created a Doom for revenge on the people of Perenthines. He let it loose in a pool in the center of Zo, and it swiftly depopulated that city as well as as Perenthines and Naazim. Volnar escaped toward the mountains on a stolen rogii and swiftly created himself a castle in the black crags of Boriau near Mt. Zath. There Volnar dwelt for the brief remainder of his existence. Volnar's only pupil was Khalda [RHB Mirror; Theft]. Volnar had a small image of the god Zotog-Ua, that was stolen after Volnar's death by Khalda. [RHB Deplorable]
