Hsothian Manuscripts

Ancient manuscripts that record chants; it is not clear what makes them "Hsothian." The name "Hsoth" might conceivably be a reference to the author, to the deity being worshipped, or to a place (such as a planet) where the chants originated.

On the planet Loth, Lord Krang is said to have had a slave copy from the Hsothian manuscripts to parchments [RHB Fall]. Strange manuscripts with the Hsothian chants upon them were buried in Krang's tomb [RHB Tomb].

Much later, while plotting his revenge on the people of Perenthines, the magician Volnar frequently consulted the parchments Krang had copied from the Hsothian manuscripts [RHB Fall].

Later still, Volnar's student Khalda possessed three and a half pages copied from the Hsothian manuscripts [RHB Deplorable]. However, Khalda's copy was evidently in the form of a scroll of papyrus, rather than the parchments that Volnar had. The youth Morla made a failed attempt to steal this scroll from Khalda [RHB Theft].
